Final reports of the following two research projects under Health, Nutritrition & Population Sector Programme (HNPSP) of Directorate General of Health Services of Bangladesh, have been submitted for publication and dissemination.

1.         Evaluation of the Role of Fluorescent Microscopy and Immunochromatography for Rapid and Efficient Detection of Malarial Infection. Dr. Muhammad Shamsher Ahmed, Dr. Lutfe Elahi Farooqui.

2.         Prevalence of IgG Antibody against Measles, Mumps and Rubella in Pre-School, Kindergarten and Primary School Children in Sylhet.  Prof. Osul Ahmed Chowdhury, Dr. Muhammad Shamsher Ahmed.

Recently Completed Research Works:

1.         Seroepidemiology and association of Hepatitis A Virus infection with H pylori in new entrants and final year students of Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College. Prof. Osul Ahmed Chowdhury, Dr. M Shamsher Ahmed, Dr. Mohsina Khatoon and Dr. Halima Jahan.

Currently involved in the following four research works: 

1.         Isolation, Identification and antibiogram of bacterial pathogens causing Urinary Tract Infection in National Institute of Kidney Diseases and Urology. Dr. M Shamsher Ahmed, Dr. Fareha Jesmin Rabbi, Dr. Humayun Kabir.

2.         Serum Testosterone Level in Patients with Chronic Kidney Diseases in National Institute of Kidney Diseases and Urology. Dr. M Shamsher Ahmed, Dr. Fareha Jesmin Rabbi, Dr. Morshed Alam, Dr. Manosh Saha.

Thesis:

My post-graduate Thesis was titled "Antibody Profiling for the Diagnosis of Tuberculosis: Analysis of Circulating Antibodies in Plasma and in Cultured Lymphocyte Secretion".
